DuPont is proud to be a major contributor to the construction of the National Law Enforcement Museum.


The National Law Enforcement Museum, scheduled to open in 2011 in Washington, D.C., will be the first national museum in the world dedicated to law enforcement. The museum will celebrate the vital contributions that America’s law enforcement officers have made to our nation.

For more than 30 years, DuPont has helped protect law enforcement officers through innovative products such as DuPont™ Kevlar®, the first high performance fiber used in bullet-resistant body armor. DuPont also played a founding role in the creation of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP)/DuPont™ Kevlar Survivors' Club®  – a partnership dedicated to reducing death and disability among police officers by encouraging the use of personal body armor.
